Loosing my temper...

For the i don t know how many eth time a lm s pet keeps chasing me through stealth so loosing it i writte a petition, this is what i got:


Basically the answer is borderline to Never.....loving every moment of it.

 

As I play freep-side myself i dont see the big fuzz about it ;-)

The only problem I see is how to train my RK-stone to attack dissapearing wargs aswell?

 

That's not a "never" answer. That's very much a "we can't possibly comment" response and from some of that I expect the support guy is fairly sick of having to give this response.

In fairness to him, he had no choice about how to answer you, but did give some valid suggestions within what he could actually say.
I'm not sure which boards would be more appropriate for listing this issue, but it should be posted onto the relevant message board in a factual, non-inflamatory fashion with a view to garnering support for the problem and raising its profile. After that, with any luck, people will follow this lead, sign up with affirmation that the problem exists and should be fixed and in the end, hopefully, the message will get through to the right people.

What you do after that is keep bumping the post (if needed) periodically until you get a response from a valid representative.

Nephos drew your post to my attention as someone who used to be very heavily involved in player/company interactions back in the old days of Dark Age of Camelot (I was the Player Team lead for the Minstrel class there for almost 2 years).

My advice is the same as the GM who spoke to you. Sadly, the company that runs LOTRO in EU is NOT the company that developed the game, so there is nothing they can do directly to fix this exploit/bug/whatever. The most they can do it compile reports and feed that back to the home company.

What you might want to do is check out the boards for the US servers to see if people are worked up about it over there and share your experiences - assuming they will allow you to post on their boards! Alternatively try some of the non-company boards such as IGN to share your dissatisfaction. If the company has anything like a good community relations manager, they will be aware of the ill-feeling. That's how it worked in DAOC - you have to filter out the generic whining about class balance etc, but in general if an issue has enough negative impact on players, something will usually get done. Sadly in DAOC, there were several occasions where the cure was worse than the problem!!!

Directly, what you can do is fill in a bug/exploit report for each separate player to uses this exploit on you, but only a maximum of one each per day. Any more than that and you'll be labelled a spammer and your reports ignored. They need to be aware how much effect it has, but being a PITA is never helpful and you don't want to piss off the GMs as they are there to help where they can...

Anyway, hope this helps...
